HELLO WORLD
Living in Atlanta for the past 12 years, I've been able to work both as a creative and an educator. I am Chilean by birth and my childhood nickname was "Teruca". It is a personal word to represent the heartfelt work I make & the people I teach.
My work falls into two categories: Graphic Design Education & freelance/independent work. When teaching my students, I often make a design of a given project along with them to help me find ways to teach it better. It's also just a lot of fun! Check out my Instagram @terucacreative for samples of student work.
My freelance work typically consists of print design work for the City Schools of Decatur (school district in Decatur, GA). I also make digital illustration for murals with Sweet Tea Murals, and other individual clients.
My painting commission work mostly is done on a word-of-mouth basis for things that are really significant to the person. For example, the Pawley's Island Fiddler's Hill house has been a yearly retreat for my husband and his family. It has since been damaged by a hurricane and has changed since. However, this is the one we hold in our mind's eye.
My independent work is consists of digital illustration, print design, painting, and relief print. I really like using nature, paper, handmade type and natural patterns shape my work.
I currently teach, freelance and show in Metro Atlanta where I live with my husband & daughter.
